It’s been another exciting month packed to the brim with awesome user work! While every project we share offers inspiration, here are 5 projects from August 2019 that we didn’t want you to miss!

Floating House VFX – Proteus

Floating House’s CG cinematic, “Proteus,” released with the launch of the studio run by two brothers. Its visuals are eerie, atmospheric, and hauntingly beautiful, marking an exciting beginning for the duo’s business.

Slava Leonov – Klondike Game Commercial

This commercial’s style stays faithful to the source material while looking gorgeous as a cinematic, a great example of consistent design, balancing aesthetics & readability.

Michael Di Lonardo – Sunflower

We heartily recommend basking in the the charm and beauty of Michael Di Lonardo’s aptly named real-time cinematic, “Sunflower,”

 Max Spiegel – Finding Roy

Though the animation is brief, Max Spiegel’s scene is lush and dynamic. The robot resting against the stone in the background is a reference to the artist’s first animated film, “Le Voyage de Roy,” and is a hopeful sign of growth and animation to come.

Roberto Brenes-Herrera – Tropical Turtle

Reminiscent of creation myths and a more uncommon take on the floating island, we can’t help but love Roberto’s, “Tropical Turtle,” especially as summer draws to a close.

Colorado Blue Spruce
(Cinema)

The trees that grow alongside the facility on the foggy cliff in, “Proteus,” remind us of the Colorado Blue Spruce, a hardy and adaptable conifer native to the Rocky Mountains

Clover
(Cinema | Games)

The environment of the Klondike commercial is dense with little details. Add another layer of detail to your ground with ground cover like our clover

Hiba Arborvitae
(Cinema)

The dark conifers of “Sunflower” offer an important contrast to the otherwise bright, flowery environment and reminds us of our Hiba Arborvitae cedar, a fragrant evergreen endemic to Japan

Scots Pine
(Cinema)

There’s a fun variety to the scale of the foliage in “Finding Roy,” but there’s a spunky conifer in there that reminds us of our Scots Pine

Cinnamon Fern
(Games)

There’s a lovely variety of foliage adorning the back of the Tropical Turtle. We’ll recommend the versatile cinnamon fern, which offers a pop of color and playful fronds for your tropical environments both on and off of tortoise shells
