Description
Quaking Aspen
The Quaking Aspen has the widest natural range of any tree in North America. It grows via asexual reproduction, with stem clones sprouting from its expansive root system. Pando, also known as the Quaking Giant, is a grove of Quaking Aspen in Utah that is made up of about 47,000 clones all connected by the parent’s underground root system! This tree is an ornamental delight, providing vibrant color in the fall and shade in the warmer seasons. The sounds it makes in the slightest of breezes have earned it the Onondagas nickname, “nut-kie-e,” or, “noisy leaf.” Its bark is unique in that it carries out the process of photosynthesis, a task usually reserved for leaves.
Included:
- Quaking Aspen, 1 model (.spm) with multiple resolutions
- Unlimited seasonal variations using seasons slider and curves
- Full set of PBR leaf and bark textures (4k leaf textures, 8k bark textures)
- Tuned wind animation
