We said goodbye to summer, hello to fall, and shared a variety of awesome projects this September! As we jump into the spookiest month of the year, here are five projects we don’t want you to miss!

Group Project – “The Hermit”

This fantastic stylized world is a testament to the power of teamwork, created by a team of seven artists: Daniel Dominguez, V X, Zoe Givnan, Iván Pérez, Jesús Silva, Noelia Amor Giménez, and Raul Martinez. It’s also a stellar example of SpeedTree’s mesh forces, seen most prominently in the round canopies of the trees.

Tron Lee – “The Blade of Gu Qin”

“The Blade of Gu Qin” is driven by the film’s dynamic music and powerful compositions, inspired by the scenes in the artist’s breakdown video. If you want to export high-quality renders like the ones seen here, be sure to optimize your model’s resolution depending on the vegetation’s distance from the camera.

Adam Lacharité – “Vivarium”

Adam Lacharité’s, “Vivarium,” makes us feel like a happy reptile in a well-outfitted enclosure. Create clusters like the one pictured here by utilizing mesh zones to grow your vegetation off an imported mesh.

Melina Morreale & Natacha Cappoen – “Makiko: The Tiny Helper”

There’s so much charm and character to appreciate in the miniature world of, “Makiko: The Tiny Helper,” that it’s almost overwhelming to see the larger garden outside of that meticulously maintained bonsai treehouse. Create a stylized bonsai trunk of your own by using our hand drawing feature

Shira Eilan – “Asha – Demo Reel 2020”

The mysterious beauty of Shira Eilan’s “Asha,” immediately grabbed our attention. Grow flowering vines over geometry by using mesh zones or distribute then down a trunk using collections.

Boxwood

(Cinema)

The round boughs of the trees found in, “The Hermit,” remind us of our carefully trimmed boxwood.

Bamboo

(Games | Cinema)

Build a dense screen of bamboo like the forests in Tron Lee’s, “The Blade of Gu Qin,” with our Bamboo models!

Rock Fern Species Pack

Rock Fern

(Games)

Whether you’re building a small, enclosed environment like the one in Adam Lacharité’s “Vivarium” or a vast, open landscape, our rock fern will fit right in.

Araucaria Pine

(Cinema | Games)

With sphere-like formations of needles and branches, our araucaria pine is shaped like the round boughs of the bonsai featured in “Makiko: The Tiny Helper.”

Sago Palm

(Cinema)

In addition to the leaves and blooms cascading from the buildings of Shira Eilan’s “Asha,” their world is also dotted by short palms, similar to our Sago palms.
