Description
White Oak
The White Oak, or Quercus alba, is a well-known hardwood of North America. It is a stately and long-living tree that reaches and forms broad, irregularly shaped canopies.
The White Oak is not named for its bark, which is usually a light gray, but the color of the cut wood. Its leaves are seven to nine round lobed sinuses and this tree bears acorns in the fall.
