Sweetgum Species Pack

Sweetgum are large, deciduous trees, up to 131 ft tall, with palmately 3- to 7-lobed leaves arranged spirally on the stems and length. They have a pleasant, sweet aroma when crushed and vary greatly in color as the seasons change from bright reds, orange, and yellow. Mature bark is grayish and vertically grooved. The flowers are small and produced in a dense circles. The gumball is a woody fruit that contains its seeds; its prickly hooks will loop into fur and clothing.
